Syslogs and DHCP LogsThe syslog and the DHCP logs reside on the machine TPDW2000, selection "E" on the Cybex KVM switch. The syslog is continuously gathering information currently from PIX525 as well as MVCPIX506. Both Syslogs and the DHCP logs are rotated and archived every 24 hours. Syslog Syslog file is a plain text file and is located on C:\SYSLOG\ARCHIVE directory. The files are named with the date stamp to facilitate the locating of the needed logs.
DHCP Logs We are able to archive most DHCP assignment to the TPDW2000 machine. The logs are located on C:\DHCPLOG\LOGS directory. The dhcp files from the Novell Netware servers are named with the date, time and server name. The dhcp log from our NT 4.0 DHCP server is named with date, time and day-of-week. |
